2025 Annual Meeting Recap

On June 29th, 2025 LAHOA held its annual meeting. During the annual meeting, the election results were revealed by Election Secretary, Andrew Martin. The members running for three board seats were, Brett Martin (incumbent), Scott Workman (incumbent), Jordan Watt (incumbent), Ryan Spear & Matt Zucker. The three winning board seats were Vice President, Brett Martin. Registrar, Scott Workman. And Matt Zucker. The Board would like to thank Jordan Watt for his commitment to the association over the last three years.

Following the general election, the Board needed to elect a Treasurer. Long story short, Kosta Karvales was re-elected to Treasurer and will serve until 2027. The other four executive seats are up for re-election in 2026.

Lastly, the Board then voted on the bylaw changes. The following was passed:

Change – Section 4.4 – Electronic Meetings to Section 4.6 – Electronic Meetings.

ADD – Section 4.4 – Election Secretary – The Board of Directors shall appoint an Election Secretary who will be responsible for conducting elections under the rules approved by the Board of Directors, and upon acceptance the Election Secretary will then be responsible for forming the oversight committee. Additionally, if the Election Secretary chooses to do so, they may appoint a Special Advisor.


ADD – Section 4.5 – Election Committee – The election committee will be formed at least three (3) months prior to the LAHOA annual meeting and consists of an Election Secretary and no more than three (3) oversight members, all of whom are in good standing. In addition, the Board will appoint one (1) Board member who is not an incumbent candidate to assist the committee. The Election committee will conduct and oversee the election and report to the Board as needed.
