The LAHOA Executive Board and Board of Directors would like to congratulate our SIX LAHOA officials who will be working in the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program (ODP).
Eric MacDonald, 23, originally from Bakersfield, CA, worked as a linesman and lived in Dallas, TX last season working games in the NAHL, USHL and AHL. This season, Eric will be living in Chicago, IL and will be working a full-time schedule in the USHL along with games in the AHL.
Caleb Andrade, 26, originally from Ontario, CA, lived in Naperville, IL last season working a split schedule as a referee in the NA3HL and the NAHL. This season, Caleb will be living in Fargo, ND and working full time in the NAHL with hopes of getting a call up to the USHL.
Niko Diehr, 22, originally from Fullerton, CA, worked part-time last season in the AHL as a linesman. This year, Niko will be heading to Chicago, IL to work a full-time schedule in the USHL as well as games in the AHL.
Tyler Hascall, 22, originally from Corona, CA, lived in Helena, MT last season and worked as a referee in the NA3HL and got a few call ups to the NAHL. This season, Tyler will be living in Dallas, TX while working a full-time schedule in the NAHL with hopes of getting called up to the USHL.
John Linder, 24, originally from Bonsall, CA, lived in Dallas, TX last season working as a referee and linesman in the NAHL. This year, John is heading back to Dallas to work a split schedule in the NAHL and USHL as a referee.
Trevor Wolford, 26, originally from Burbank, CA, lived in Dallas, TX last season and worked full-time as a referee in the NAHL. This season, Trevor is heading to South Bend, IN where he will work full-time in the USHL.
LAHOA and its members congratulate all of its USA Hockey ODP officials and wish them safe travels and all the best in the 2018-19 season!
LAHOA would like to congratulate the following officials on their selection to work the Sled Hockey Event of the 2018 USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival! The event will take place in Chicago, April 12-15. The officials will work the Youth C group all the way up to, and including, the National Bracket, which includes Paralympic athletes. There is no other tournament quite like it! This is an exciting time for our LAHOA members as Team USA defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime in dramatic comeback fashion to win Gold at the Paralympics only a few weeks ago in PyeongChang, South Korea. Many current and former Paralympic team members will be taking part in this event. The officials going to represent LAHOA are:

For the first time LAHOA will be scheduling the CAHA A & B State Championships! The A States will be played at Riverside Ice Town while the B States will be played at Valencia Ice Station. President, Ian Miller and VP, Louis Magnifico will oversee the tournament and select the championship game officials based on merit.

Recently LAHOA sent officials up to San Jose to work the Pacific District Girls’ and Women’s Championships. The 16u championship game was officiated by an all women’s LAHOA crew! Wearing the bands was Brittany Trani and on the lines were Kristina Wampler and Bridget Gonzalez! What a great out of market representation of our female LAHOA officials on the District stage! Congratulation to you ladies!
